Well, I like his attitude. People should never be made to feel ashamed of what they are born as, nor who they are (as in related to), nor be made to apologize for the actions of people who came long before them.
Not often I see someone willing to just outright say it.
I think the fact that he did have the guts to say it might have impressed Eclipse.
Not enough to completely change his attitude, but enough to make him realize that the prince does have a spine and a will of his own.

I’d say this is a pretty accurate take on what’s going on in Eclipse’s head.
Rasque is a bit reluctant to rock the boat in most situations, but I think he’s getting a bit tired of people second-guessing him on this trip. 😀
