We’re starting the final book eh? How many chapters will it be?
I had originally planned for it to be eight chapters, but when I looked back at my notes after scripting out the next chapter, I realized I had mostly combined the first two together. So it’ll probably be either seven or eight, since I may stretch some other scenes out a bit and give them some room to breathe since I have extra space.
Breathing room is always a good thing especially since it seems events might start quickening now that the main ‘war’ scene has finished.
Would you believe that at one point this was actually very near the end of the story? The ‘war’ was actually going to be the major climax at one point, and it was far longer and more involved initially. But I realized pretty quickly that the fight itself really wasn’t that important and that there was a lot of story left to tell once it was done…as we’re seeing now, an entire book’s worth, haha!
So that whole thing got minimized to focus on what’s really important…
…characters standing around and talking 😀
(I joke, but those scenes are always my favorite, so I don’t really mind that being the case.)
“Final” as in ENDING?? NOOOOOOOoooooooooooo….

What are your plans after this comic ends? OwO
Actually, I have a sequel in mind for after this story wraps up, because I’m addicted to making this thing at this point and I’m not sure I could stop if I wanted to, haha! I’ve even started making notes and designing characters already…
However, the sequel will be set in the future and have an entirely new cast of characters. It’ll take place in the same universe, but there won’t be anyone from this story returning. I have a story in mind to tell with these characters, and once it’s told, that’ll be it. I like stories with set endings because it’s easier (and to me more satisfying) to build toward a conclusion than keep coming up with new things, so that’s how I tend to write.
…so, long story short (too late 😀 ) the comic will probably keep going once I get to the end, but this particular story will finish.
oh that’s good to hear! As much as you get attached to characters, its nice knowing when their story has ended 🙂 I’m glad you’ve got more stories in the works >3> I’d find it hard not being able to imagine myself a boetheri XD
Well, I don’t think you’ll ever have to worry about that. I have too much fun drawing them, myself! 😀

Yep! There’ll probably some kind of break in between the two, but we won’t have to think about that for a while because we have all of book four yet to go. 🙂
