wah! Ralla you can’t just run…. Nareth is gonna need some human backup who’s seen what all just played out!
Well on the bright side her glance at her servant (oh gosh I feel awful I don’t remember his name) tells me she has a different feeling about slaves now. 🙂 So at least she’s changed for the better! 😀
And I suppose if I was in her situation I’d probably wanna head home too. A few too many close calls already + a lot of political unrest is probably gonna follow our characters now.
Can’t wait to see how this all plays out! 🙂
He does seem to be lacking in human companionship right about now, doesn’t he? 😀
I think Ralla’s headed the right way, but she’s not there yet. It’s probably best for her to excuse herself, though, and reflect on what she’d seen/been through. Probably better than – as you point out – trying to deal with a bunch of politics when you’re no longer sure where you fall.
((His name is Ser-den, but since I’ve never really focused any of the story on him, it’s not all that surprising it’s not more memorable, so no worries. 😀 In hind sight, I’m kind of sad I DIDN’T focus on him more, though, I bet his story is fascinating!))
I can’t say I’m sad to see her go. At some point there is going to have to be a reckoning on her own part against herself now that she knows what she’s done, but at the moment she’s not seeming to guilt-ridden for it.
I hear that.
Ralla’s been a bit stuck in her way of thinking for a long time, so it’ll probably take her a long time to get out of it. That she’s “starting to” see that line of thinking isn’t right is a big step, I think, but not enough.
Here’s hoping that the thinking she does leads her somewhere better.

I love Tai and Jaith’s expressions in the first panel, Jaith is all excited “Isn’t this great?!” where Tai is just “pfft, I guess.” 😀
Haha, they wear it out on their sleeves. 😀
