Indeed!
Yeah, I think I mentioned it back in Ravik’s backstory that if everything was gone, he likely wouldn’t know how to speak as language is something learned (or in Ravik’s case, multiple languages). I don’t want to dictate much more than that, but it is at least “well, he ain’t dead yet” scenario. 😀
This is the final chapter. I actually finished drawing the last page this past weekend….it was an odd feeling. There will be a new story in the same world, but it will feature new characters. So yes, this is coming to an end.
Typo!
“…and THAT that point…” should be AT that point if I’m not mistaken.
Ah, so Guren is actually a natural magic-scientist, finding this solution on his own under all the pressure, in such a relatively short time.
Thanks! I’ll take care of that once I get home.
And yeah, it’s kind of meant to be a call-back to how Dustan Guren was able to create this mess in the first place with a similar high-stress time-crunch. Nareth probably took after him a great deal. 🙂
Correct! This is why everyone is using the language of him being “dead”…because in most ways he is.
(and apologies, the sarcasm of the author’s note really doesn’t translate in text. Agneris likes to hear himself talk, but doesn’t always get to the point. 😀 )
Eh, I wouldn’t consider it totally “dead.” He’s lost most of his memories, but as pointed out, not all. And things like habits and language remain intact.
So it’s no less dead than getting amnesia. In fact, it’s less dead, since amnesia doesn’t carry over habits (weird, I know) while this appears to carry some of those inclinations over.
Ah, I see. So it’s still him … but missing most of his memories. But even with that, he’s still himself!
Losing most or all of your memories sucks, but I guess it beats dying!
Dang … suddenly realizing there can’t be much of this left, can there?

I’M SO PROUD OF YOU LOOKIT YOU FINISHING A SUPER LONG WEBCOMIC HARDLY ANYONE ACTUALLY DOES THAT
I know, right? It’s infuriating how many comics are just left abandoned. Finishing this was goal #1 of starting, just to avoid letting that happen.

Well this certainly makes things interesting… I wonder if someone will try to explain it to Tren-an or if it will remain something better left as is…
There are worthy arguments to be made both ways, I’d say. 🙂
Sorry, but this makes no sense. Shares no memories or experiences with Guren? Then for all intents and purposes, Guren is gone.
